***You are right snooper, we do have private citizens trying to stop the flow of illegals coming into our country. Now we need our government to get more motivated. We are under a constant invasion. We need our military on the border.***

We DO have men with guns down there. I used to own land in South Texas and we had our own posse that covered "the back 40" which consisted of about 2700 acres of a 10K acre stretch.
We used horses and some guys replicated the military FAVs. We were on private land so The Law couldn't **** with us.
I since have had problems and could no longer get on a horse let alone ride one for hours.
"We" are there doing what others will not.
In a 2-year stretch, we foiled hundreds of crossings and apprehended hundreds more and turned them over to BP.
I no longer own the land but the patrols are still going.
But, like you said and I will add to it, there IS an armed conflict at the lower border and sooner ot later it will explode into an all-out "skirmish"

I read or heard somewhere that it is againt U.S. policy or laws to have military on the border?????
The way I understand it, Bush is limited on how many National Guardsmen he can deploy to the border.
I know there are restrictions on how he uses the military on domestic issues( I remember that from Waco), if it is against U.S. policy, we need to change it.
